Nexus with one yum or apt repository per snapshot, named by a common pattern. Lists the repositories that fit it; hosts read a snapshot at the URL Nexus gives the repository.
Use cases
- A rollout's first ring takes the versions this source lists; later rings take them from the ring before, after its soak time. A Linux patch channel (the linux-patching pack) holds each ring's hosts to its snapshot with a managed repository file.
